Diana Pintus-Emma, MD, FAAP

Dr. Diana Pintus-Emma has been practicing pediatric medicine since July, 1982.  After receiving her BA from New York University, she went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.  In 1985, after serving as Chief Resident of the Pediatric Residency at Nassau County Medical Center, Dr. Emma joined the pediatric practice of Dr. Charles DeGennaro.  After Dr. D’s retirement, Dr. Emma and Dr. Grigoletto formed Island Heights Pediatrics.

It has been, and will continue to be a passion of Dr. Emma’s to take care of infants, children and adolescents.  As a way of giving back to those who share the same passion for helping as she does, Dr. Emma offers students the opportunity to shadow her in her offices.  She believes that “there is no greater pleasure than seeing a child grow into adulthood and go off into their own career.”   Dr. Emma is a firm advocate of continuing education and regularly attends conferences and courses to stay current in her field.

During her free time Dr. Emma enjoys the company of her daughter, Maria, her dog Max and the occasional dance lesson!
